When did you first start working together?
We're excited too! November 2016
How did you come up with your team name / show title?
With great difficulty and many rejected names. Hence, the name Tantrum...
What was the first sketch idea you can remember having as a group or an individual?
What's your creative process like? How do you generate ideas and keep it fresh?
Four hours of fighting for each four minutes of stage time.
Who are your influences? Who are some of your favorite sketch comedy acts performing today? Who has blown your mind?
The Midnight Show. We all graduated from the Pack Theater sketch program and a couple of our teachers, Eric Moneypenny and Heather Anne Campbell, are apart of The Midnight Show, at UCB. Their reckless style and motto to not be boring helped influence our writing and how we build our shows.
Do you have any fun "worst show" or "worst audience member" stories?
Although we argue and butt heads we always seem to pull it together at the last minute and perform solid shows.
Are there any ideas that you've had that you can't seem to make work or convince the rest of the team / troupe is actually funny.
Performing modern dance bits between sketches instead of interstitials is a no go for some, to our dismay.
What else – comedy wise – are you looking forward to this year? What do you have cooking?
We're working on creating more video content, and making sure no one kills anyone.
