Last Call Cleveland / A Few Sandwich Lovers

Austin Sketch Fest 2018_ Last Call Cleveland _ A Few Sandwich Lovers.jpg

Last Call Cleveland is a veteran sketch group who has performed at sketch comedy festivals all over the country—including New York, San Francisco, Chicago, LA, Seattle, and more. Their blend of live sketches, songs, videos, and audience interaction won them the grand prize at the Toronto Sketchfest and glowing reviews such as "crowd-pleasers...pricelessly savage" (Chicago Tribune). They've also made a name for themselves online with videos like the Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video, Huge Group of Girls, and the HBO produced web series Man In The Box.

A Few Sandwich Lovers is an Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre-founded sketch team based in New York. This particular show was birthed out of a desire to write something beyond the traditional sketch show. It leans into the tropes of the 90s rom-com set in the most glamorous of American cities, Cleveland. From dropped manuscripts, to hot air balloons, to missed flights, our show takes the audience on a ridiculous romantic journey that could only happen in Cleveland. The writers and actors that make up AFSL are devoted sketch comedians with backgrounds in theater, solo character work, humor writing, and improv.

Pendulum has emerged from their terrible slumber and is now terrorizing the countryside with their dark visions in the form of very good sketch comedy. Their show is hilarious (voted ColdTowne’s Best Sketch Group 2016 and 2017), dark (most shows have at least one ghost in them), and boundary pushing (they once did a Halloween show in March...incredible). Please come give them the attention they crave or they will wither and die. Thank you.
